UPDATE 2019
And so another year has passed… Had an intense year, apparently, at least when I look at the list of my gigs! Always a shock to count them all by the end of the year.. I always think I had a calm one. Since I’m working 40% at the Academy of music and drama nowadays it’s been a bit more hectic to balance life between teaching, touring and taking care of my back. But, 2019 is soon coming to an end and I must say that I haven’t had a real back crash since the spring, which is a world record in my book, so I’m very happy with this year! I think only good for the coming year. I’m sure it’ll be even better than this one. 🙂 Here’s what I did this year, although I’m pretty sure I’ve missed a few things…

UMEFOLK 2017 & HEMAVAN FOLK FEST – Thank you!
Though struggling with back pain, I have to say this years Umefolk was definitely one of my favorite ever. So happy about playing at Allspel, rocking out with Burnstein from El Sistema Hammarkullen, making music with all my ethno friends in Etno Caravan, Murhaf Fanous & Friends and maybe most of all: The revival of The Breaks with the last gig of the festival at Plectrum Bar Saturday night!
Hemavan Folk Fest was a success, though I was spending far too much time in the back seat due to the back pain – but the skiers and audiences of course didn’t notice that. 😉 We did more than 15 small gigs all over Hemavan and Tärnaby and one big gig before and after the super cool band Ara played in Hemavan Hotel on the Lounge Stage which turned in to a jam session with requests from the audience…
Thank you Staffan in Hemavan, Birgitta in Tärnaby and everyone at Umefolk for these two beautiful weeks!

Tonight leaving Umeå for Gothenburg! End of December and beginning of January has been spent mostly recovering from a back crash with a lot of rest in Umeå with my family and friends… Had to cancel the concerts in India with Matija Solce and Toby Kuhn now in January, but looking forward to play with them in beginning of February instead when I travel to Ljubljana to teach at Godalkanje and play at Couch Fest!
